2:30 – Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden

Dom CarlosROYAL BLUE, white armlet, quartered cap                                                                                                                Derek

A Gale Force Ten colt coming out for the first time here today, he is related to some speedy types and warrants a market check, that being said he’s 20/1 at the moment. A £45,000 pick-up and a 6th foal o/o Fancy Feathers, half-brother to Red Pike, Elnadim Star (2yo winner) and Just Past Andover, with the dam a 6 furlong winner herself, a half-sister to useful winners including Idle Power and Crafty Fancy. Nice, speedy pedigree, this horse could be anything going forward.

Selection: Coral Beach is the odds-on fancy and although I expect Dom Carlos to be a nice 2yo in the making, he’s best watched, the impeccably bred Vocatus is the pick for me as she spit two well-fancied types at the Curragh last weekend.

3:05 – Meridian Security Handicap

Boragh StepsEMERALD GREEN & ORANGE CHEVRONS, orange sleeves, white cap Donnacha

A Footstepsinthesand filly who cost 16,000 euro and comes into this on the back of a relatively poor race when 9th and had a lot on her plate at Naas, she was a close 2nd off a 3lb higher mark on her latest try in handicap company. Donnacha O’Brien takes the reins today and she could be thereabouts, although giving 17lbs to Summerseat Dream who has been smashed in the betting. Boragh has a lot to do in this race as well.

4:10 – Irish Stallion Farms EBF Yeats Stakes (Listed)

Drapers GuildBLACK & YELLOW CHEVRONS, two yellow chevrons on sleeves, black cap                                                                                    Shane

Dutch Art colt who is having a good season, 2nd and first on his first two starts this year, he managed to romp home at Dundalk 31 days ago by 3 lengths, you’d think the step-up in trip should eek out some more improvement in him and his pedigree suggests he should thrive over middle distances. Southern France looks a Leger runner in the making and has the hallmarks of a stop stayer going forward, so he’s probably the pick for the O'Briens.

5:20 – navanadventuresports.ie And Multiactivity Pack Maiden

Rapture’s DelightYELLOW, red star, red stars on sleeves, red cap, yellow stars                                                                                          Donnacha

Rapture’s Delight is a 3yo colt by Invincible Spirit who cost 200,00 euro at Arqana, he is a brother to Ambivalence who was a 2yo mile winner and Alpine Spirit, along with being a half-brother to Armande, the dam was a Listed winner and seems to be producing some nice ones. 2nd on his only start to Bond Street, with House Call back in 3rdyou’d hope the form will work out nicely in the coming months  – Donnacha is booked and that can only be a pleasing sign. Good chance in this to get off the mark.
